Mark Lunsford at the end of the 3rd Jessie's Ride held in honor of his daughter, Jessica. The ride, on Feb. 24, 2007, was held exactly two years to the day Jessica was reported missing. She had been kidnapped from her home and subsequently murdered. The suspect, John Couey, is nearing a trial to be held in Miami, Florida. The state is seeking the death penalty. Lunsford has spent the past two years raising awareness and working to pass Jessie's Act around the nation. To date, 26 states have passed the act which strenthens monitoring and penalties against child predators.
